Hyderabad: The Madiga reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president, Mr Manda Krishna Madiga has warned that the consequences would be very serious, if the Chief minister, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy failed to address a letter to the Prime Minister on the issue of SC categorization, before April 16.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Mr Krishna Madiga demanded that the Chief Minister exert pressure on the Centre to bring in the Bill for the SC Categorisation. He also said that they would decide the future action plan in connection with the by-polls to be held in Kadapa at the MRPS mahasabha slated to be held on April 17 and 18.

Training his guns on the Chief Minister, Mr Krishna Madiga said that his silence was an inference that he was against the SC categorization. Though all political parties were in favour the SC categorization, the Chief Minister, was averse to it and did not lead an all-party delegation to New Delhi, he added. He also suspected the role of the Chief Minister behind the lathi charge on the MRPS activists. (NSS)
