Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam party legislators, Mr Yellabelli Dayakar Rao, Ms Seethakka and Mr Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, were mobbed by the Osmania University students at the Bhoiguda Railway Court in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
Interestingly, the TDP legislators were gheraoed by the OU students in the presence of the estranged TDP senior legislator, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who was suspended by the party recently on the charge of indiscipline.
Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and the TDP MLAs had come to the Court in connection with a case registered against them for detaining a train as part of Rail Roko agitation in the past. The Osmania students obstructed the TDP trio leaving Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy. Mobbing the trio, the students demanded that they either submit resignations to their legislative posts immediately for the sake of separate Telangana or take measures to build up pressure on the party supremo to declare a pro-Telangana stand. The protestors also shouted “Jai Telangana” slogans which were resisted by the TDP leaders. The TDP leaders made it clear that they were committed for the bifurcation of the State.
