Hyderabad: Finding fault with the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, for not responding to their statement on the resignations at Exhibition Grounds, the Karimnagar MP, Mr Ponnam Prabhakar, has said it was a mistake on the part of the Chief Minister for stating that the Centre would look into the Telangana issue.
Speaking to the media at CLP office on Friday, Mr Prabhakar said the Telangana leaders of all parties would strive unitedly for Telangana as a single agenda if the Centre delayed creation of separate State. He also said he doesn’t see any mistake in the TRS Chief, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao wearing the Congress Kaduva. He pointed out that the Telangana leaders were not behaving like the TDP Chief, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, who adopted double standards.
When asked whether it was a signal that Mr KCR was joining the Congress party as he wore Congress Kanduva on Thursday at Congress leaders’ mass hunger strike camp, he said anything may happen in politics.
Condemning the remarks made by the YSR Congress Party spokesperson, Mr Ambati Rambabu, against the AICC Chief, Ms Sonia Gandhi, Mr Prabhakar said the YSR Congress party would not survive only by criticizing Ms Sonia Gandhi as was done in the bye-elections. Stating that all the YSR Congress Party leaders were Congressmen till recently, he said the criticism against the Congress party was similar to dubbing one’s mother as a prostitute. Warning the YSR Congress party leaders not to make such allegations against Ms Sonia Gandhi, he said the NSUI and Youth Congress cadres would not tolerate their remarks in future.
He said Mr Y S Jagan was ridiculing politics by taking up ‘Odarpu Yatra’ even one-and-a-half year after his father’s death. He also asked Mr Jagan to prove his innocence in his illegal assets case. He also urged the leaders like Mr Sabbam Hari and Mr Mekapati Rajagopal Reddy not to criticize the Congress party and not to forget that they won the election on ‘Hand’ symbol.
