7 Bahrain Protesters Sentenced to Death Threatened

Bahrain Seven demonstrators threatened the death penalty in military court to be held this weekend. They will be convicted of charges related to the murder of two police Bahrain.

Prominent opposition activists, Matar Matar as reported by AFP on Tuesday (04/26/2011) says, the seventh Shia was charged with premeditated murder of two policemen. The two policemen were killed when Bahrain clashes between security forces with anti-government protesters some time ago.

It said Matar who was a former member of Bahrain’s parliament, the seventh man was Ali Abdullah Hassan, Qasim Hassan Mattar, Saeed Abdul Jalil Saeed, Issa Kazem Abdullah, Abdul Aziz Abdullah Ibrahim, Sadiq Ali Mahdi and Hussein Jaafar Abdul Karim.

Matar said, the court verdict will be out on Thursday, April 28 next. Prosecutors had demanded death penalty for the seventh man. The trial of this case has been started on 17 April.
