The immigration officers assigned at various entry points in the country have been instructed to step up measures to scrutinize the identification and travel documents of anyone entering Kuwait on a Bahraini passport, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed this came after the Bahraini security authorities allegedly distributed the list of persons wanted by law for instigating public revolt and attacking securitymen in Bahrain. Sources explained the decision is part of the security agreement signed by the GCC member nations, including the tactical intelligence information exchange. Sources said the Bahraini passports will be checked thoroughly at the entry points before stamping and allowing the holders to enter Kuwait.
Meanwhile, sources attributed the prevention of the entry of a medical team from Kuwait’s Ministry of Health into Bahrain four days ago to a 3D international telephone call.
According to the Bahraini security authorities, the call was between Lebanon, Iran and an international line. Sources said the sensitive international call monitoring gadgets installed at the Bahraini entry point registered the call at the same time the Kuwaiti delegation arrived in the country, prompting the securitymen to refer them to the Peninsula Shield Force which, in turn, ordered them to return to Kuwait.
