Speaker of the Bahraini Parliament and Chairman of the National Dialogue Khalifa bin Ahmad Al-Dhahrani said Tuesday the agenda of dialogue covered all issues of national concern without any exception.
“All views and issues that have been submitted by all invitees from the political associations, civil society institutions, public figures and the media will be listed in the agenda and categorized based on the themes (political, economic, social, and legal),” he told reporters here.
“No view or issue raised by any party in the recent weeks will be excluded, ” Al-Dhahrani affirmed.
“Due to the nature of the dialogue and the organizational considerations, the organizers were unable to accommodate the desire to participate by all citizens and public figures. There is room for more than 300 representatives of largest possible political and social spectrums,” he pointed out.
The government will be represented by one or more figures in the discussions aiming to build national consensus on the axes and agenda of the dialogue, he added.
King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa designated Al-Dhahrani chairman of the dialogue due to start on Saturday with a view to stepping up the planned political, economic and social reforms.
