London, March 4 (IANS) Singer Charlotte Church left drinkers at a gay bar stunned when she kicked off her shoes and got onto the stage to karaoke.
The 25-year-old headed to the Two Brewers gay bar in Clapham, south London, after the premiere of the “Wizard of Oz” show. She was there with a few friends, and she grabbed the microphone and belted out the Alannah Myles hit “Black Velvet” while dancing around the stage, reports thesun.co.uk.
“Charlotte was having a great night. She was really letting her hair down and having a few drinks. There was karaoke going on and Charlotte got on stage barefoot and put everyone to shame by singing ‘Black Velvet’,” said a source.
“She seemed to really enjoy it and got massive applause from everyone. After that she was mingling with everyone and when she popped outside she was sharing cigarettes with people. Everyone loved it and she belted out a really good rendition of ‘Black Velvet’.”
Church, who split from her partner Gavin Henson last year, has been a judge on reality show “Over the Rainbow” earlier.
