A rally in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was held on Monday morning, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Speeches were made during the rally condemning “interferences and foreign [parties] that want to tamper with Syria’s security,” the NNA said.
The report added that the demonstrators carried photos of Assad, and headed toward the Syrian Embassy in Beirut.
More than 30 people have been confirmed killed in a spiral of violence that has gripped Syria since protests broke out on March 15, with demonstrators demanding major reforms. Agencies
