Saudi Arabia Send Tens Tank to Bahrain

Saudi Arabia sent tens units of tanks to Bahrain who was hit by anti-government protests that have lasted two weeks , according to the daily news of Egypt , Al – Masry Al – Youm on Tuesday ( 03/01/2011 ) . Eyewitnesses reported seeing a transport vehicle tank 15 units , each of which contains two tanks , crossed the King Fahd road , which links Saudi Arabia to the island state of Bahrain .

Most of Bahrain is a group of Shiite protesters that was 70 percent of its population . The Shiite group has long been the target of discrimination and other abuses of Sunni dynasty which reigned in the small country for two centuries .

In the worst unrest in the kingdom since the era of the 1990s , a wave of protest swept Bahrain last week . At least six people were killed and hundreds others injured during clashes with security forces . The opposition threatened to hold protests continued and a national strike if the government insists to stay afloat. Agencies
