Strikes on Libya Heavily Criticized by Arab League

Today, 20 March 2011 the western forces of U.S., France and UK crushed Libya’s air defense. The U.S. and allied forces started the attack on Muammar GaddafiMuammar Gaddafi’s air defenses and military using warplanes and cruise missiles from warships. Muammar Gaddafi said that the air strikes by the western forces on Libya are a brutal act of international terrorism and declared to fight back till death.

According to a Libya’s government official, more than sixty four people have been killed in the western airstrikes during the night. This attack has lead to a serious diplomatic setback in the Arab world.

Amr Moussa the chief of Arab League severely condemned the western airstrikes on Libyan civilians and called for an emergency meeting of 22 states to talk about the attack on Libya. He also appealed for an investigation report of the attack which caused the deaths and damages of numerous civilians in Libya. Agencies
