Abu Dhabi, March 15 (IANS/WAM) A relief team from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues to offer succour at the Libya-Tunisia border to refugees who have fled Libya following the ongoing turmoil.

The relief work at Ras Gadeer town includes providing food, medical supplies and shelter. The camp has received over 1,000 displaced people.

Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Abdul Aziz, head of the relief team, said the relief convoys were continuing to arrive at the camp to assist thousands of the displaced and stranded people.

The humanitarian effort was taking place in coordination with the Tunisian Red Crescent Authority, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international humanitarian organisations, he said.
