History & Context
Lumbini Park opened in 1994 on the southern edge of Hussain Sagar and quickly became one of the main public access points to the lake.
Many visitors know it as the departure point for boats to the Buddha statue, but the park also offers gardens, seating areas and lakefront views.
Evening is the most active time, with families, boat rides, lights and views across the water toward Tank Bund.
Check boating schedules before planning around them, especially on weekends and holidays.
