Shopping in Hyderabad is split between two very different moods. The Old City is dense, social and bargain-driven, with lanes where bangles, attar, fabrics and wedding items sit close together. The western side of the city is more mall-led, with branded stores, restaurants and planned retail spaces.
The mistake many visitors make is treating shopping as one activity. Hyderabad shopping depends on what you want: bangles near Charminar, pearls from trusted sellers, handicrafts at cultural spaces, or modern retail around Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and HITEC City.
